Baby's First Hotel Experience!

This past weekend we took a mini - staycation with our BEST friends and Kelia stayed her first night in a hotel. I thought I would share about her first experience.

I tried to minimize what we took because it was only one night and it worked out well. I took PJs and one outfit for each of us (Me, Hubs, Kelia), Our swimsuits, sunscreen, and towels for the pool, our medications, hair brushes and my makeup and diapers, wipes, bottles, formula, bottled water, and Kelia snacks and water cup. I only brought one toy. We had two small bags.

We ordered on snack from room service and got dinner takeout nearby except Kelia had a Stouffers Mac N Cheese from the lobby. Celia enjoyed having snacks and water or apple juice in our King bed and napped twice in the little crib they brought and sanitized for us. However, she wouldn't sleep in it at night LOL.

We enjoyed family time at the pool both Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning before checking out. Our little water baby loves splashing around with mommy and daddy!

It was a nice getaway and we enjoyed the AC in the room, lots of cartoons, time with our friends before the are gone while the husband deploys this fall until May of next year, and cooling off in the pool! We also enjoyed walking around Laguna Beach and seeing the gorgeous sunset Saturday night before dinner!

A little getaway from everything and everyone is always refreshing and helps get us in a good mindset especially with all the pandemic stuff going on where we spend a lot of time at home with family. It was kind of a reset to keep pushing through everything!

A few tips for traveling/staying in a hotel with a baby that I learned/did?

*Bring her extra clothes

*Bring lots of snacks so you don't run out for all of you and water for formula bottles (food and drinks are so expensive in hotels)

*Maybe a couple more toys but 1 was pretty good.

*I forgot baby shampoo for the bath so bring a travel one.

All in all we had a great time and are looking forward to a real family vacation in the near future!
