A year ago today we welcomed our little Kelia Linei to our family, all 6lbs 10oz and 19.5in of her, at 8:21pm. We met her a few days earlier than we expected, but what a joy to have gotten to bond with her a few days than we thought we were!
Today, according my my home scale, Kelia is 21.5lbs and she's tall for her age, but I don't know her exact length. Her 1 year appointment is on the 21st.
What Kelia Is Up To Now
-At 12 Months/1 Year Old Kelia is officially walking, really trying to talk even though we don't have a clue what she is saying, sleeping better at night, has 8 teeth, is learning to use sippy cups so we can slowly get rid of the bottle, loves trying to feed herself with her own little fork and spoon, loves to dance and sing, had perfected her squish face and tricks with her tongue, and as always keeps us laughing! And she is still a water baby through and through- whether its the pool, ocean, her water table, or the bath she loves it!
-She is not a fan of sleeping in her own bed, when loud noises startle her, getting buckled in her car seat, pooping, when the dogs take food she offers them from her hands, the song twinkle twinkle little star, when a new tooth pops through or her many little booboos she gets from being so active now.
-Her favorite foods lately are Mac and Cheese or Spaghetti, Chicken Nuggets, Pizza, Corn, Beans, Yogurt, Any Fruit, Peas, Broccoli, Ice Cream and Popsicles, and she loved her birthday cake! She really eats almost everything and seems to enjoy it all!
Her Birthday Celebrations
On October 10th, We had a family family party at the beach to celebrate her birthday with Mommy's side of the family and It was her favorite theme- Baby Shark! We had In-n-Out Burgers, Chips, Watermelon, Pasta Salad and Cookies and Cupcakes to fit the theme! It was a nice day, great group of people, and Kelia did great with her cake smash!
Popsie and Kiki even took her on her 1st Paddle Board ride!
Today, We took the birthday girl to the pumpkin patch/fall festival located near our home. It was different than years past due to covid, but I think she still had a blast! We went on a tractor hayride, took pics with pumpkins, and saw tons of animals in the farm!
And because its 93 degrees we set up her big gift, a water table for some fun here at home, and she played happily getting everything and everyone nearby wet!
Daddy is currently making some ribs in the smoker for dinner and we will have ribs and cake with The Wilson side of the family tonight! Might even go dip in the HOA pool later or go for a walk or who knows!
One thing we know for sure, It has been a great day for the greatest little birthday babe!
