Just like everyone else is right now, we are quarantined and staying home in isolation from the world and praying this Covid-19/Corona-Virus Pandemic gets better soon and comes to an end.
It has been both a blessing and wild adventure having Kelia with us for this quarantine! She has kept us so busy which is why this blog post took me awhile to complete and post! On one hand she keeps us smiling, laughing, and well entertained and on the other hand she has kept us on our toys and very sleepy from keeping up with her and her antics! She is rolling back to front and front to back and really really trying to crawl! She hasn't mastered crawling yet, but before we know it she will be on the move and we will be even more tired from chasing after her!
To try to change things up time to time we have been spending time outside when it has been warm enough. In order to enjoy some outside time at home, Kelia has enjoyed playing in a plastic pool in with the front or back yard. A few times I put a blanket in it and toys for tummy time play or laying against the Boppy and playing.
The fresh air and sun have been an amazing distraction from being stuck at home! Also, getting a little bit of vitamin D never hurts!
We also have continued some walks short and long to get out and get our blood pumping in addition to some sun and fresh air! Celia loves both her umbrella stroller like a big girl and her bassinet style one so we alternate which we use!
Last week it was 80 degrees out so I put a little water and a floaty to hold her up in Kelia's little pool and she loves water so she really enjoyed a short little play time in it! She has a UV blocking swim suit with hat and sunglasses that I hope to use a lot more this summer so we tried them on and put on baby zinc oxide sunscreen as recommended by her doctor for extra protection!
In the end, though, I think Kelia's favorite thing, quarantine or not, is BATH TIME! This little girl splashes, kicks her feet, plays with toys, and smiles big, sometimes even giggles, in the bath! If it was up to her baths would be longer! Sometimes I bathe with her, but she also loves her bath seat and could sit there for awhile!
We have also been slowly introducing yummy foods to her and girl loves eating! It keeps us busy and her entertained too!
